SolTherm Employee Speaks at UNCA Energy Symposium

SolTherm’s Associate Energy Analyst, Sean Gallagher, will be speaking at the University of North Carolina – Asheville’s Energy Symposium to share his Advantage West Internship experience today.
Sean was an AdvantageGreen Energy Intern from 2010-2011 where he spent the length of his internship with SolTherm. In his year with the company, Sean coordinated marketing for trade shows and high profile ribbon cutting events, managed SolTherm’s STEPP program and co-authored press releases for the company. Sean also took charge of grant, rebate and incentive coordination and administration at the state and federal level.
“This experience has translated well from an academic standpoint. There was a great fit for a business administration and environmental science student to use and expand upon many skills,” says Sean. “A higher awareness for renewable energy development through small business was also recognized during the intern experience… The program has provided an encouraging opportunity with a multitude of experiences and take-aways…”
Sean developed into a major team player and quickly became a valuable member of the firm’s core team. SolTherm enjoyed the opportunity to give a student the chance to gain real-world experience and is proud to now call him a full-time employee.
